Peace Be With You!

03/27/2005

Easter Sunday, this has always been one of my favourite days. This year doubly so, as the clocks also change to one of our last unique privileges “British Summer Time”. As with almost everything else, “our” summer time is threatened with some nonsense about central european time, or some such rubbish. However, I not only feel the power of spring, but also a resounding Peace Be With You! It is great fun to be in that 24-hour period when one is constantly questioning the actual time, am I one hour ahead or one hour behind. Who knows or cares! We have a lovely spring day of easterly breezes, cool, mostly dry, with grey overcast and blinks of sun later. We greatly enjoyed the new Dr Who last night, watched with Mhairi in the kitchen, a splendid update, although Mhairi did not quite get it, being too young for the original(or so she claims). We motor to Bridge of Orchy Kirk for Easter communion, very uplifting with the Rev John Sheddon. A pleasant walk through the long glen in the afternoon, and of course that extra hour of evening light. Now the only challenge is to work out when to make for the Great Bed of Trollaigh. Pour a dram, flick on the electric blankets, toast our family and friends, and dive for the cover of sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a great day! Yours Aye, Archie, The Baron Trollaigh.
