Erratum:

The messenger finally arrived from the Lord Chamberlain’s office with details of my “K”, imagine my delight when I discover that in order to accommodate my unusual request about Lord Glentrollaigh, that I’ve been given a KCVO. Normally this sort of thing goes to the Queen’s Physician or a senior Ministerial Private Secretary, so I am very chuffed. Although it has been made clear that I had better tone down my comments about our simply super PM, Tony Blair, or there may be bad news to follow by the end of the summer.

As I am scribbling, I can add that we have enjoyed a lovely day of fair winter weather, and although dearest Dottie has spent all day in the garden, I have been forced to fly the desk because my affairs are in tatters after my own three weeks of gardening.

Staff returns to The Tower of Glen Trollaigh tomorrow and I hear the most dreadful news that Caviar production is to be drastically reduced to save the sturgeon in the Caspian Sea, oh bollocks. Yours Aye, Archie, The Baron Trollaigh.
